I almost finished it! Too much fun — and a bit of frustration. I took a template I had used before and:
- added a photo background!! though I hate the line…
- changed the length of the boxes the posts are in from 450 or so to 600 whatever measurement that was (You don’t think I knew what I was doing did you?)
- changed some colors around
- lost and then found the dates and titles on the clickable vertical bars
- and other changes I had made many many months ago
I know the date and part of the title shows twice, and when you click for comments there is white writing on part of it on the clouds, but that is something to try another day, I have been experimenting for hours!
This is what it originally looked like as downloaded. See how small the boxes area?
This is what it looks like now!!
Remember to get to the next post you just click on the vertical gray bars… once you have clicked them all, you click on the arrowed titles beneath them on either side, like on other blogs to go to previous and next…. IT IS SO COOL. I HAVE LOVED HOW IT WORKS FROM THE MOMENT I SAW IT…
PS. I know that latest post picture is way too big, I haven’t had time to re-upload it.
And I finally got the Gravatar made and Gravatars enabled on all my blogs. It has been the best day!

To add to yesterday’s organizing: I tend to bookmark hundreds of things and rarely look at them because I can’t find them again in the maze I created. I am now going to put the bookmarks in the appropriate browser for their use.
In other words, all business related bookmarks will go in Safari, blog related in Flock, and computer and general in Firefox. That works fine if we only use one computer… So, a few of the most important I will duplicate in Google, so I can access them from any computer.
Now, to wade through the hundreds I have… luckily most are in Google so with all the tabbing the browsers offer now, I can organize them without having a breakdown.
(While I was doing this, I just told my computer by voice to, “Set an alarm for five minutes.” I never knew I could do that until today… No more excuses for eyes in pain from too much computer use… well, other than ignoring the alarm… I love my computer, guess I should find out what else it can do that I had no clue about…
Organization, here I come again…. I’m going to start using my voice commands and save my wrists all that extra motion, too.

Ha! I can be organized at a few things at a time. I use my iMac and the internet all day long and have multiple windows open, too many actually. I came up with a way to organize it. Me! I did, seriously.
I open, and leave open in my dock, three different browsers, each for specific tasks. It works beautifully for me, especially since each one has a distinct icon in my dock.
- Safari: Business email, Mapquest, business related searches, Myfax.com, etc.
- Firefox: Personal emails that are not on .mac, house and apartment searches, panic searches, and to have open any instructions for things I am doing on other browsers.
- Flock: All blogging, Google reader, Bloglines.
That way I can easily switch into business mode from blogging with a quick glance. OK, it would be easy for most people, but trying to tear me away from something I am reading that is interesting hasn’t been done yet, not without a fight anyway. And yes, I know we have a brand new laptop to do business on… but I have not exported EACH Pages or Numbers file as a Windows compatible yet, too many of them! I have a feeling for a while, that computer will be used more for internet and eventually GPS on the road and to hold all the back up files, but that in itself was worth the purchase.
At least I am getting organized in dribs and drabs… Why we even own an oak file cabinet with Pendaflex files in two different sizes and beautifully colored folders complete with labels… labels? I was supposed to label them? I really hate that job, I would rather take out the trash.
Any guesses which Browser gets used the most?
Note: Thanks to Damien for posting about Flock!
