Thursday Thirteen - What I accomplished toward…

Thursday Thirteen -What I accomplished today toward our downsizing toward fulltiming between an RV and a small park model

1. Sorted my crafts, the sell/giveaway pile was nearly as big as the keep. (Amazed myself, but then there are stores on the highway, grin.)

2. Blogged. (No one doubted that.)

3. Sorted the rest of my books, the sell/giveaway pile was smaller than the keep. (Oops, and they are all important or reference books. No, don’t ask if I ever use the reference books, they are still less than a year or so old. I have time yet.)

4. Caught up on replying to my blog comments. (some)

5. Moved a few things to the sell/giveaway from the keep pile. (I did, I really did, but then some may have just slid the other direction, I don’t know, I wasn’t watching.)

6. Caught up some more on replying to my comments. (Of course, I forgot to use my “system”… so I have not repaid all the visits yet.)

7. Walked in circles trying to decide which boring thing to sort next. (I won’t tell you those circles kept bringing me buy the keyboard of my computer… I was expecting an important email or two. NO! I can’t tell you from whom. Then everyone would know.)

8. Wrote one of three long promised posts…. (And no, I hadn’t put it off because I didn’t want to, but because some posts require someone to write them besides my subconscious.)

9. Looked to see if book for exam prep had come in online yet for the thing no one knows about yet, well, except about 8 people or so, but not him or her or all of y’all. All of y’all, is not that redundant? all of you all? Yeah, I suppose so, but I find myself saying either that or all y’all.

10. Decided to pay two bills, but, saw new email had come in…. so read email. No, it wasn’t the one I was waiting for, but it was really funny. Have you heard the story… ? No? Well, it will get to you sooner or later. Oh, guess I will pay the bills tomorrow. Maybe I should do it before I read a blog.

11. Caught up a tiny bit on reading all the blog posts y’all have made (did not even put a dent in it, I don’t think)

12. Fixed a crummy dinner. Wait, I didn’t fix it, I merely opened a can. He brought everything else home from the store. Oops. And it really wasn’t crummy, I just expected it to be because I thought I did it.

13. Sorted more stuff. Now it is on the living room floor, the empty bedroom floor, the table, the half wall of the staircase, the entire lower level of the house. And that is just the sorted part.

14. Answered a phone call from a preteen’s mother in distress and tried to be mature in my responses. Now, to hear the results of our brilliant plan tomorrow. No, I’m not telling… Privacy laws and all that, grin.

15. Did 3WW and laughed the entire time I wrote it. Was it really that funny? Probably not, but hey, a girl has to have fun.

16. Shuffled things from one room to the next. Well, at least I was trying.

17. Read more blog posts by others! I’m only weeks behind now. Wait, how do you get weeks behind in only a few days?

Oops, so tired from all that moving stuff around and making all those hard decisions, like do I keep those micro beads I don’t want just to have them? What about the third wooden ruler that is all dinged up and written on? All those screws? Hard decisions….lol. See, so tired, I forgot to end my sentence, just like I forgot to stop this nonsense at 13. Before this downsizing is over you will be so glad I’m done! Now, if he would just go along with just putting it all in a truck and hauling it away as in giving it ALL away, I would part with more. But I resent paying full price and then selling it for a fraction just to re-buy it at full price 6 months from now… Giving it away would be another thing, that would feel good, so I probably wouldn’t even re-buy most of it…. Makes sense to me. How about you?

If you kept reading this, you are either really bored, in a weirder mood than I am, reading but not concentrating, or a saint… either way, thank you.

Thursday Thirteen - These bloggers set examples for me

- Shelby @ Time with Shelby. Determination and perseverance — if “they” win, it is only for the battle, NOT the war.

- Shelly @ This Eclectic Life. Make it happen - for others — whatever it takes, including all of us.

- Matty @ Running on Empty. How to be a Lioness — with both fury and compassion — and humor.

- Chris @ Tears Shed on Paper, Clockwork Chris Returns. Be yourself — keep digging through your layers and grow.

- George @ The Adventures of Tioga and George. ReVisit your life and lifestyle and try new things.

- Paisley @ Just Paisley. Tell it - all - without the sugar coating. Life is interesting as it is and each day is a new day.

- Nancy @ Only The Good. If you see a worthy project that needs to be shared, share it with the world. Same for thoughts for us to ponder.

- Pia @ Courting Destiny. Speak up and be unapologetic about it! The world needs to hear and be heard. We need to be heard - and to listen.

- Rose @ World Outside my Window. Researches her posts and research makes for interesting finds.

- Damien @ Riley Central. Experiment with your blog to get it where you want it to be, that comfortable place, both for yourself and for your readers and help other bloggers. (He has started a new forum.)

- Rose Dewey Knickers @ Flash Your Knickers Here. Make your readers think. She questions life and she replies to us many time in humor that makes us think again.

- Brian @ Truth is Freedom. If you have something that you really want to accomplish, go for it. Brian was not afraid to give his blog bare minimum attention when he needed to focus on his novel. He gives his time, though, normally, to all of us, visiting even if just to say hello.

- Bone @ If you only read ONE BLOG this year. Respond to your commenters. He makes it a two-sided conversation and draws us all out. And he created a simple meme either 50 or 52 weeks ago, depending on which way he/we count it — and visits everyone that participates.

Thursday Thirteen - Why I was late AGAIN

Thursday Thirteen - Why I was late yet again!

1. I was having so much fun reading Wednesday night I forgot to start it.

2. I decided to do one that had 13 links and I hadn’t chosen all the links yet.

3. Knowing I didn’t have enough time this morning, I started writing it anyway.

4. This is AFTER we slept for hours after our normal wake up time….

5. We left to go get lunch (told you it was late) and mail off his passport renewal.

6. After standing in line at the post office, we realized he needed a doctor, lawyer, engineer, cop, teacher, judge, etc. to countersign his application… Dilemma.

7. Back at home, we realized as luck would have it we knew ONE of those people, his doctor - and he had to go there to get his fire ant allergy shot anyway. I got a square knitted on the way, during, and back.

8. Back home to reprint one page we lost and to get mail address for a special package I was mailing.

9. Trip to Ben Franklins to get black yarn to send later to Shelly for SAS, but ran into
Donna who had spearheaded the Yarn Yoga group’s 156 squares for SAS. They have done a few more!

10. Spend time watching teeny green inch(?) worm on windshield and trying to get good picture… and a movie that flopped…. View from inside the car:

11. Back in line at the post office TWICE more (don’t ask). Too many dollars in postage later because I am impatient and want them sent NOW.

12. Early dinner (remember, missed breakfast), lingered over it making plans for future.

13. Walk the mile round trip with slight hill in our cul-de-sac.

14. Try doing Thursday Thirteen, have to fill out interview form… Took the easy way out! But today was one big Stolen Moment with Leon — worth every second…. Next week will be the 13 links!
