As some of you know, I have not had the luxury of posting many photos in recent months. Living on the edge of a broadband area for my Verizon Wireless Broadband, uploading slowed down to turtle speed or less at times. We have Comcast again. That excuse left the building. So. watch for more photos in the near future.
Today, however, let’s practice finding Only the Good in the following poem. Your first reaction will probably be to see only sadness, depression. But there is something else in there. It was not intentionally written that way, I suppose my past practice with Only the Good crept in unbidden this morning. Let good thoughts slip in unintentionally in your world, too, by actively seeking it often: practice makes perfect - well, at least more so than less.
Vacation Spot
There is no one present
to hear my tears
for I am not at home
nor in heart’s motel.
I have checked out.
Gone to visit a black hole.
My intent is not
to make it a permanent residence,
but merely a vacation spot,
safe from temporary(?) realities,
where I can languish
in sounds of sorrow
emote in darkness,
surrounded by the wonder
of stillness before dawn.

Look past the not so good and seek the good, only the good, in this photo… Why? Why not? Train your eye to seek the good and your mind can not help but follow, your heart already wants to be there… That does not mean to neglect the bad and walk into a trap laid, but it means to see whatever good there is… many times it is there, sharing space with the bad… Make a difference, put a smile in your eyes and voice, by seeing good in things…
Play along. Nancy started a site for Only The Good. She would love to add you to the blogroll - and we would love to seek good in your not so wonderful photos or photos of things that are not, at first glance, good… Give us all more practice.

Find only the good in this, y’all, please. It is practice for finding the good in your everyday, sometimes mundane life… The world will be a better place with y’all setting the example for others who haven’t yet learned to see the good.
Follow the link from Nancy’s website Only The Good to other people setting an example! While you are there, make the decision to participate and she will add you to her blogroll… Once I get moved I will add y’all here, too!
Now, you find the good, I have to practice it here, finding the good in scanning for hours and hours…
