Tropical Storm Fay

Now, lest someone think I wished for Florida to get a storm, I did not! I would rather have to work full time in a fast food place (and I am a vegetarian) — even on opposite shifts from Leon — than wish anyone deal with a storm - and I know he agrees, despite being a public insurance adjuster in Florida. He had the “pleasure” of having our former home suffer flood damage during Hurricane Elena in 1985. He was not exactly overjoyed!

One of the reasons I don’t like to live in South Florida vs. Central or Northern Florida - is that you have more opportunities for “might be coming your way” — right up until the last minute. The forecast tracks on this one were fun to look at, most of them going up the middle of the state, one going in the Atlantic and one going right toward the Tampa Bay area… our old stomping grounds.

So, you can bet we will be watching the weather channel(s) on TV, online, and on our phones for the next few days… Just like we never left Florida — just different electronics to track it on.

Hope those in the islands avoid the storm’s wrath.
