Cloaked Reality

Darkness

Darkness overwhelms with relentless staying power

hint of dawn

but dawn insists on making an appearance

day makes headway

and wangles its way into our minds - and hearts -

daylight's presence known.JPG

to reveal a day of promise.

    [...] Tonight I was inspired to combine photos and poem to email to a family we know. I chose not to write another poem. I know it is silly, but I didn’t want to negate the importance (in my own head) of that one by spouting off a bunch more. The photos are of daybreak at a beach in South Florida.     Thank you, Shelby. That morning at the beach was one of the few sunrises I have seen from the beach or photographed. I usually just get glimpses between buildings.
