Organizing: Internet, continued
To add to yesterday’s organizing: I tend to bookmark hundreds of things and rarely look at them because I can’t find them again in the maze I created. I am now going to put the bookmarks in the appropriate browser for their use.
In other words, all business related bookmarks will go in Safari, blog related in Flock, and computer and general in Firefox. That works fine if we only use one computer… So, a few of the most important I will duplicate in Google, so I can access them from any computer.
Now, to wade through the hundreds I have… luckily most are in Google so with all the tabbing the browsers offer now, I can organize them without having a breakdown.
(While I was doing this, I just told my computer by voice to, “Set an alarm for five minutes.” I never knew I could do that until today… No more excuses for eyes in pain from too much computer use… well, other than ignoring the alarm… I love my computer, guess I should find out what else it can do that I had no clue about…
Organization, here I come again…. I’m going to start using my voice commands and save my wrists all that extra motion, too.

That’s some serious organization. I keep all my bookmarks in del.icio.us so that I can always get at them and can tag them with as many tags as I want. Then I forget that any of them are even there until I check once in awhile to see that I have about 8.9 billion or so
Good luck!
I’ve never used del.icio.us, Maggie, but I understand the 8.9 billion.
Wow! You mean you talk to your computer and it follows orders? I am so impressed! Hell I swear at mine….and it just ignores me just like everyone else.
I’ll have to look into a Mac when I win the Lottery! Absolutely amazing! What will they come out with next??
Well, it does sometimes, when there is no noise, the loud A/C units aren’t running the compressor, etc. I experiment with it once in a while, but am trying to use it more often. “Get my mail.” (it just sits there… but Leon pipes up, “It hasn’t been delivered yet.” Cute Leon.) So, I do a lot of swearing at mine, too, hoping it will take it as the correct command…. earlier it pulled a browser, but I didn’t want the browser, I was just mouthing off! Last night it worked beautifully, this morning it must be only half awake. A tired computer, just what I need. When I win the lottery I’ll buy you one! You may have to remind me!
