A blogger’s opportunity to write - Hurry!

Posted at 11:27 am under Contest

Blogs, Writing carnivals, Group writing projects, contests, sans prizes or fully decked out with the latest and greatest of prizes - they are all just excuses for us to shove aside our other lives and put the pen to the paper or our fingers to the keyboards. Our words become either reflections of who we are or who we wish to be - or who we had no clue we were in some cases - but they also stretch our minds.

I recently wrote about My Love Affair with Writing on my poetry/fiction blog as part of the My Love Affair With Writing Group Writing Project I discovered via Damien’s blog, Postcards From the Funny Farm. (Note, that link to his blog takes you to a great post! But come back and follow the other links, too.) The project was sponsored by Joanna of Confident Writing. While reading about the love affairs of the twenty-one participants, I found this contest at Word Sell, Inc.. Just write a post based on his original and quite funny cartoon. You have until 17:00 hours CST on Friday, March 7th. (That is 5:00 p.m. CST for you who, unlike me, loathe military time.) The grand (great) prize will be generously awarded by a random drawing as will the second place prize.

I’ll have my entry posted with the cartoon later today…. imagine, me, having to wait to write…. work… honestly. Good thing I adore my boss, I mean 50 percent partner who thinks he is the boss. Get over there - write…
