About NeatReceipts…

Posted at 11:07 pm under Rave, banter

NeatReceipts 3.0, that I mentioned yesterday, works! I scanned in business cards and it kept a copy of the card and also made a file containing all the information - in the appropriate spots. Plus there is a list of all the contacts, etc.

Receipts do just as well. With some tweaking (and paying attention before I scan) I will have separate files for business and personal receipts. And I did export and then import the few receipts I scanned into my OLD Money program - and it worked, created check register entries out of each one! Have to work on categories, though.

I also scanned in a few recipes. The newspaper one, quite large came out curvy the first time, but I tried it again and it was much better. There is a zoom feature in the little window that shows the receipts/cards/documents - and it worked.

Still need to play with it to see what else it can do. The search feature I tried only with the documents (recipes). It pulled up ONE only of the two recipes that had the search word in it, so I need to read the instructions, I suppose.

It is not the fastest scanner in the world — but not needing an electric cord, it’s size, and how well it separates out the information scanned into forms made me a happy woman with a new toy, I mean business gadget, I mean machine.

Aren’t toys/business needs fun. The computer/officesupply/gadget stores are my favorites and I don’t even have a business.

You have been tagged. Visit my blog for details. I was serious today but the person that tagged me was totally light hearted. Have fun whether you decide to do it or not.
