Hahahahaha! The year is ending with a bang…
my laptop gave up on me… today It was acting up so I repaired the permissions yet again. Then it quit working, but this time, the hard drive is not even allowing me to repair the permissions, the disk utility shows there is an error in the “mass storage” — and even when I tried to just reinstall the entire operating system, it could not see the hard drive, so I was not allowed to install it.
Bye bye laptop. You held up quite well for falling out of a van and off a bed and being jolted as I caught you falling off my lap several other times when I nodded out typing….Besides that, your keys were so worn down from all that typing while I was fully retired, I can’t blame you for tiring out.
I would be lying blatantly if I said it did not put me in a mood! I had a ton of photos put to the side to optimize for this post this morning… but that was on the laptop…. However, I am extremely grateful I have the iMac we bought last year. The cool thing about Apple, all I had to do was plug the Verizon wireless card in and it set itself up. I love Apple. Of course, dragging a 20 inch computer around in the car will not work…. so it has cramped my work environment, but….
Happy New Year! May it be a year filled with adventure and smiles and may Mr. Murphy take a vacation from all of us!
P.S. Brian, we watch movies on the iMac - it has a 20 inch screen, luckily Leon is a movie freak and has plenty of DVDs and doesn’t mind watching them repeatedly… when he gets bored watching the story line, the actor/director in him studies them.
