Happy Thanksgiving!
This will be an interesting Thanksgiving for us, we have been invited to the home of one of our son’s friends from high school, and their baby is due any second! Dilation started days ago. Hmmm.
Now it was suggested by someone, should the baby not wish to wait for his Thanksgiving dinner, we rush the food to our son’s and cook it there — if the baby was really early — or just stay at their house and have our dinner anyway - without them. Either would work.
But my daughter-in-law thought of something many wouldn’t. Why not just we go eat at a restaurant should that happen and leave the food there. Why? Because so many relatives will be driving down the next few days to see the baby. There would be plenty of food already on hand, making it quite easy for everyone to feed themselves while Mom and Dad get used to their new son.
I think I am going to love getting to know my daughter-in-law this year. I already adore our son. I think he chose his spouse quite well.
But enough about us. I hope you each have a pleasant day, a very pleasant day, and that you each find something to be thankful about. There has to be something.

What a gracious and generous heart she has! Your daughter-in-law sounds like a rare gem.
No matter where you end up, I hope you and your family have a terrific Thanksgiving!
Thank you, Harlekwin. We did have.

I hope you have a wonderful time no matter where or what happens this Thanksgiving with your family.

Thank you, Rose, we did.
Remember “A Chrstmas Story” that funny movie where they had Christmas dinner in a chinese bowling alley? I thought of that! Anyway, enjoy. I hope the baby comes when it’s most convenient (though mine never have!)
No baby yesterday, Damien, we all had a wonderful evening. We had dinner at a Chinese restaurant once when we drove up to see Mom in the nursing home, but we chose the wrong restaurant, food was crummy, maybe we should have found that bowling alley instead!
Hope your Thanksgiving Day was spectacular!
When the day goes better than planned, you get to be with family and meet new interesting people, it can’t help but be specatcular. Thanks, Shelby.
Your daughter-in-law is very thoughtful…it doesn’t matter where or what you eat for Thanksgiving…it’s who you’re with that counts. Hope you have a happy healthy Thanksgiving. Good wishes to the mother-to-be!
Thanks, Matty, for the good wishes. She is ready to have her son. We left them some food for relatives and friends — in spite of all of us stuffing our faces more than once. Who you are with, it is the most important.
