And how did I know? Because my body is a muggy soggy mess… and we just went through a quick, albeit unFlorida quick, driving rainstorm. I sure hope the air conditioner works at wherever we end up living! It is just as I remember it!
But someone loves me, because I have not gotten sick from that bad cheese we ate last night! Neither has Leon.
If you are ever in Orlando, near the Millenium Mall, you have to check out the Apple Store, it is HUGE! There had to be 30 plus customers sitting or standing at the computers they had out to use… You don’t have to stand in line if you are charging your purchase. The salesmen are wandering around with their little credit card machines… It was so noisy, it felt like I was at Disney World or something… The word for how it felt, frenetic, I think. People were having a good time…. Apple rocks!
They also had in stock my power cord, so I am writing this in the car on the middle of the turnpike. (i am not driving, grin.)
Only an hour or so I think to our son and daughter-in-law!

I won’t go into detail, but if I ever have to go on a road trip without an RV again… I won’t!
And on top of that, my power cord for my iBook quit working, so I could not recharge my battery… so no laptop.
HOWEVER, we found the best italian restaurant in Covington, MS — the bruschetta was the best we have ever eatern… had we time, I would have spent the night so I could have eaten it again tomorrow! The weather was perfect, the nearly full moon gorgeous, and I have not, so far, gotten sick from the bad cheese we ate, in the dark… tonight. And I won’t even gross you out with what else happened late last night…
We made it as far as Tallahassee, I do not love this type of trip where you are going somewhere for a reason and not to enjoy the surroundings… At least this summer we can take our time going back — if we have found our RV by then, if not… I’m not getting on the road.
Tomorrow night we will get to see our son and daughter-in-law, first time since last Thanksgiving.
Sleep, I wonder what real sleep would feel like? I think I have forgotten.

our clothes… well, with help, and for once, not mine. Leon dried our new long-sleeved t-shirts on high… oops, and their high is a lot higher than the high on the residential machines, even higher than the commercial machine we used at home. Luckily for me, the sleeves were too long to begin with….
The old jeans however, 2.5 years old… uhm… can you say, I cannot even zip them 3/4 of the way up? And all I have with me are three pair of jeans…. Luckily my “grub” pair with paint on the back pocket, were a different style and though they shrunk, too, I could at least get my thighs in without undue strain! Can’t button them, so guess I will have to throw my loose sweater on when we get out… sigh… and part of the problem is that I normally do not gain weight, but with all the poor eating we did those last few weeks and the lack of non-fried or non-cheese related vegetarian food, little sleep, and middle age tendencies… well, I better walk a lot more at the rest stops than I have been done….’cause had I not eaten that junk those jeans would still have zipped in spite of that mean old dryer….
OK, we are off! (mentally, perhaps, too) Earliest yet, but then we haven’t had breakfast yet… changing things up today… breakfast, fried potatoes and eggs… oops, no wonder I can’t zip my jeans…
