Thursday Thirteen - Why am I almost late again?

1. Because I stared at the computer so long my eyes wouldn’t focus so I couldn’t even knit more squares for SAS, can you pick up my slack this week? Please?

2. Because I tried to visit more blogs, like I used to when I only had one! I read some awesome stuff today.

3. Because I had to visit Boho Rhap (Thanks Shelly for the lead) and look for a new header for TT - both the feminine and the masculine and then post it…

4. Because I had to visit West of Mars’ early TT and harass Susan and get the new Groupie Graphics for my blogs - (with Trevor’s blessing to be myself! Ha!) and then post it… multiple times.

5. Because Leon and I lingered over dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant, making plans for an awesome future…

6. Because I was tying fringe on a beautiful, but sturdy, little shawl and my heart was in it and not Thursday Thirteen for a while…

7. Because I found this longer story, Silence to read that fascinated me at Just Paisley.

8. Because I was writing not one, but several sadder poems about The Corridor, all because of the words Bone chose for Three Word Wednesday, a meme y’all should be doing, too.

9. Because I was posting my Poetry Thursday poem, A Dad’s Memory, for tomorrow, the next to the last week… What or who will replace them?

10. Because I was fighting with myself over a trip East of the mountains tomorrow, but I may get stuck outside in the 88 degree heat for a while and that is one war I don’t win, heat does…. and I HAVE to tie more fringe and acrylic is hot on your lap in the heat — but it would be a stolen moment with Leon and my readers know I LOVE stolen moments — and I got my laptop back from the repair shop, broken inner steel frame and all, but it still works. When I drop things repeatedly, I do a grand job!

11. Because I was listening to an otherwise intelligent 29 year old man tell me they were wrestling with a friend (in fun…..) over a TILE floor over the weekend and smashed their head, one cat scan, one EKG, 5 blood tests later, and the realization their crummy insurance has a 3000 dollar deductible for the ER, and then one 250 dollar neurology visit later, they were assured they were OK, physically that is…. I won’t say what I had to say… with all the sweetness and understatement I could muster.

12. However, listened to same 29 year old man tell me he had yesterday found much better insurance privately than through his or her job. Note: This is the SECOND person I have heard that from in two weeks. The other person was getting identical coverage privately as through work — and saving THOUSANDS of dollars a year — and yet his company was paying almost half.

13. I was fighting with the urge to have fun this 3 day weekend instead of what needs to be done. The other party involved in the discussion graciously did not remind me I do that every day, have fun, I mean… Not that he is normally THAT gracious.

    This is my first visit to your site and I’m so glad I followed your link! I read your last post and met the full time RV couple. I’ve bookmarked them, they’re living my dream! I visited the links to the Golden Rectangle and now I think I can finally explain it. I usually get the 1000 yard stare when I try. I looked for the good in the picture of the trucks in the field. They made me think of the friend I traveled with this weekend.

    I guess what I’m trying to say is… you have a Great Site! I’ll be back for more!

    Hey almost late is better then really really late. I had to leave the house before the TT list went up on the official site so I wasn’t late with my TT but was for listing lol.

    I was late in posting as well but it’s because I forgot to post heheh.. Finished the entry at exactly 12:01am and then promptly fell asleep lol
