Link-Meme

Posted at 10:05 am under Life Balance

My friend Shelly at This Eclectic Life tossed a meme my way. It’s called Linky-The Meme. It is designed to bring our archives back to life! She picked 5 good posts - did you know she LOVES Bacon - I’m quite sure it is her other name. Do your best to get back there and read her five before the day’s over. She is quite the storyteller!

Here’s how to play:

You must post 5 links to posts you’ve written. At least two of the 5 people you tag must be newer acquaintances so that you get to know each other better . . . and don’t forget to read the archive posts and leave comments! The rules and links to my 5:

Link 1 must be about family: I wrote about My Dad, Embracing Responsibility.

Link 2 must be about friends: This is a poem I wrote for a woman who is a friend to all who know her - and many that don’t. Choosing this post is not about my poem. The purpose of reading this is to honor her and women like her, the angels in our lives: Moon Hug.

Link 3 must be about yourself, who you are, what you’re all about: My mantra: “If I have evoked emotions in someone, even once, I have lived — and I have definitely evoked emotions.” This ties in to Why I Blog.

Link 4 must be about something you love: Contrast of Moods - not what you think, but our son as a toddler

Link 5 can be anything you choose: Dear Mommy, about an abandoned baby. The facts are from the newspaper account. I, however, wrote it in the perspective of the baby. It is a story that I feel very strongly needs to be told to every young woman — and some older ones as well!

I hereby give these 3 people the wonderful opportunity to resurrect 5 of their archived posts. Archives is such an unpleasant place for them to remain forever. No glass cases to display them, no traveling shows to share them in (OK, this is as close as it gets to a traveling show!) The rules say 5, but I feel you have so much to read in this tag that by limiting it to only 3, you MAY get much of it read, both here and there!

Now, the Face behind the Blog is coming, but I had to do this one first… A quick glimpse of what may be coming here: Beer Cans, Circa 1967 I’m also, someone may know the person missing in the photo, Dale Ellen…

I will start with two more recent reads. I cannot guarantee you will not run into some “language,” in any of these, most likely will, but anymore I find it where I least expect it anyway and it is not just thrown in there….

1. Why Paisley is not an easy read somedays, though her words flow. Why? Simply because she is very introspective and goes places some of us dare not, but should. She is a poet and a writer, an interesting person to say the least. And I honestly don’t know if she will do a meme, but visit anyway.

2. If you only read ONE BLOG this year… is written by a man, a younger man, in theory, Bone. His blog is much more than just the Three Word Wednesday meme he hosts. You never know what he will write about next — and his words just flow. Do the meme, please, Bone, I already blame you for my 3WW stories, now you can blame me for having to revisit your archives.

3. West of Mars — the Meet and Greet is funny, amusing, and one of the best examples of pre-marketing a book I have run across. She gets tagged a lot, and I know she is busy with her novel and all the many side stories. But let me say many newcomers to her blog do not realize the characters are fiction — they are that believable.

Thanks, Shelly, for the tag… I may just do the P word one next… oops, I am behind on the others. . . well…
