I’m on my new computer! I’ve already dropped the keyboard and mouse once — they still work! It is so freakin’ weird seeing everything so HUGE - I went from a 12″ normal screen to a 20″ wide screen. . .
I won’t say it went smoothly! You remember my charger began working again? Well it stopped — and when we went to transfer stuff to the new computer, it wasn’t charging right, and I told Leon it would run out and he more or less told me I was dreaming — well, he hadn’t been fighting with it al day long for weeks! And MID-transfer - it quit, ran out of power– and it was LATE and I was tired and I warned everyone what I am like tired! It took a few false starts (told me I no longer had ANY operating system on the old computer — I even tried calling support, closed!
We started over from the beginning and it worked! AND I found the missing pictures in both computers! But, I will need support to help me recreate the files so I can use them. But they are not lost anymore!!
AND, the old laptop, the music was tinny and not worth much listening to, and this one – there is even base to the music, Bon Jovi sounds awesome again!
Now, I have had enough fun for one night — Thank goodness we had a decent dinner!
Oh, and the new power cord they sent me for the laptop — not the right one and they only sent part of it! AND tonight no matter what I did I could not get it to charge! It is on zero. . . . Yikes. .

and the box has a bit of a wrinkled thing going in one corner like it had been smashed — I didn’t notice it until he left — I know he didn’t damage it taking it out of the truck, I was WATCHING. I took pictures of the box corner. . . Keep your fingers crossed. I am not opening it until Leon gets home, don’t have the firewire cord anyway to transfer the data — Can you say, “excited”?
I definitely think I will rest my eyes from computers until that one gets set up. . . Wouldn’t want to have to “step away from the computer” as Leon puts it, not tonight anyway. . . How quickly do you think I can fill up a 250 gig hard drive? Pretty quick I bet since I can’t wait to add dashboard gadgets. . . and photos and. . .
Hey, if you are a writer, check out this contest, it’s an easy one (do you believe that?), and besides she is interesting to read: Missy at The Incurable Disease of Writing. I was in the middle of my second attempt at entering when FedEx drove up. Off to finish it so I don’t think about my fun new toy, I mean work equipment.

Gmail is becoming a pain about throwing perfectly legitimate mail into the spam folder, and I seem to have blinders and don’t even notice that folder until something is obviously missing! I know several other bloggers were having similar problems, it has been going on long enough now that they should have fixed it!
I just had four more go into spam that should have been sitting all cozy in the inbox with the other emails.
So, if you think someone is purposely ignoring your emails, it may not be as bad as it appears!
Rant over, other than that one problem, I love Google’s gmail.
