Only the Good - 19th edition

Can you find only the good in this photo and ignore any negatives that might be sticking out like a sore thumb? Try it, you just may be pleasantly surprised at just how much good there is out there in this world. This may seem a silly exercise, but like everything else we do in life, practice makes perfect — well close enough, anyway. It is so easy for us to get caught up in the blahs or the frustration of everyday life, or to be so bombarded by negative we wouldn’t see good if it stood up and waved. . . .

Leave a comment, tell me what you found, even if it is just one little thing. Then hop on over to the Only The Good Meme — check out Nancy’s photo and follow the links on the blogroll to others willing to help you practice for the real world that we live in, you just never know what you may find out there.

I see a bright horizon, even if the clouds suggest turbulence. The storms always pass. I see the possibility of rain (though we don’t need any right now, I’m sure someone does) to nourish and replenish the earth. I see many lovely variations of blue and gray.

Shelly, thanks for finding the good in that photo, I know for some it would be harder, especially after all that rain. I love storm clouds when they aren’t over me and Mr. Murphy is not part of the band. . .

I started doing this and it consumed just wayyyy too much thought. I prefer the no brainer memes. he he

Damien, shame on you, saying it took too much thought, you are a teacher, it should come naturally to you, must be that desert you live in and the words Route 66… heehee

That’s a spectacular bank of storm clouds! But underneath, there’s a ribbon of light that promises the storm is passing. I also see the lush green of grass, cars who have put their headlights on for safety, mountains in the distance. Lots of good in this picture!

I knew I could count on you to find a lot of good, Nancy. I love that you noticed the car headlights. -Marcia
