Blogging for Postive Global Change Part 1

Posted at 8:23 am under Life Balance, Rave

BPGCNancy J. Bond over at Soliloquy and Only-the-Good was recognized for this award: Blogging for Positive Global Change. Congratulations, Nancy!

And — Nancy has graciously nominated me for the award, and I am, quite frankly, honored. Thank you so much, Nancy.

This award was created by the site’s founder, Deborah, and her regular contributor, Francis, at the site: Climate of Our Future. I will let you read their complete definition of the award over there (it is worth reading!), but in part they wrote:

This award goes out to all of the Bloggers for Positive Global Change. It’s not limited to any specific ideologies, religions or philosophies. It puts a premium on human compassion and the desire to make the world a better place for all of us, without exception.

Now, you understand why I feel so honored - and more responsibility than a few days ago!

The participation rules are simple:

1. When you get tagged, write a post with links to up to 5 blogs that you think are trying to change the world in a positive way.
2. In your post, make sure you link back to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.
3. Leave a comment or message for the bloggers you’re tagging, so they know they’re now part of the meme.
4. Optional: Proudly display the “Bloggers For Positive Global Change” award badge with a link to the post that you write up.

Now I get to pass the tag on to bloggers I feel are making a difference, a conscious difference.

(Note, I don’t do tag just for tag, I try to tag with sincerity and I am retagging Nancy as she is a blogger I, also, choose, but I am absolving her from passing it on again, unless she wants or needs to.)

Nancy implemented my Only the Good Sunday idea in a big way, creating an entire blog meme and site, Only-the-Good, around it, going where I didn’t. Nancy understood the concept, the reasoning behind the idea, and moved it forward.

She has also recently started weekly Points to Ponder at Soliloquy - and it is in pondering that we find the depth of possibilities - both for ourselves and others.

~~ Shelly of This Eclectic Life is a worthy recipient of this award — if for no other reason than her exuberance for seeking out other bloggers and turning blogging into actual conversations. Rather than just a person behind a keyboard, Shelly has the gift and the will to use blogging to draw people into conversation, two-sided conversations - and conversations are required for change to happen.

On top of that she has started Share A Square, a wonderful charitable effort - and she has allowed us to be part of it — you, too! Sometimes people just need someone else to spearhead a way for them to participate, their heart may be there, but just not their follow through, she has made it easy!

~~ Juliet of Crafty Green Poet and Alter Ego is worthy of this honor. She is an activist in making the world a better place, in saving our environment - from us. Her poetry is thought provoking and accessible to the masses. She is active in visiting other bloggers and sharing her thoughts.

Her side bar has links not just to poetry sources and bloggers, but to campaigns for preservation and protection of nature. Juliet makes us aware, gently pushes us by a well chosen word or two.

Three of the many bloggers who are responsible for positive global change by being themselves as they blog. Why not visit them?
