Only The Good - 7th Edition

Posted at 5:18 am under Only the Good Sunday, photo

This is the view from someone’s dining room window, looking out at the roof of a house next door. Our mission is to find only the good in the photo, let’s train our eyes to see the good in our surroundings, and ultimately, in people.

To get you started, for us, the seagulls is a connection between our old life in FL and our new life in WA. I love their sound and I love the mystery that I really don’t know what the other bird is. Hmmm.

Living by the sea, as I have all of my life, I believe that’s a male and female gull. :) In this picture, the gulls certainly remind me of the ocean–where I sit at its edge to recharge my batteries or just to calm a jumbled mind. Gulls cries are haunting, beautiful, and abundant here in Nova Scotia.

I also see evergreens and trees coming into leaf, mountains in the background, covered as well in the first gold-green of spring. :)

I have to tell you, Nancy, I had never seen one that beige color. Only the white and gray, but your conclusion makes sense. Certainly acted like a seagull. Haunting, a good word to describe them at times. Glad you were able to see so much good here. I had so much fun watching them that day. (The homeowner had put food on the roof for them. Apparently not the first time.)

    I see a beautiful hillside in the distance . . .

Shelby - a beautiful hillside it is, filled with trees and life. Thank you for finding the good.

No, I’d say its an adult and a youngster! In most species of gulls, the young go through three different beige plumage changes over three years. It’s very confusing. Of course I’m somewhere else in the world and in this case Nancy may be right!

I also like the glimpse of the trees on the hillside.

Crafty Green Poet - I also read that some babies are colored that way, who knows, but they were fun to watch and the hillside was much prettier than the photo captures. Thank you for seeking only the good.
